About Jason Leroy
Jason LeRoy is the Director of Research and Development for the Residential HVAC & Supply business at Trane Technologies which cover the strategic brands of Trane, American Standard, Ameristar and Nexia. Mr. LeRoy’s organization is focused on the development of improved HVAC components, system technologies, and the evaluation and development of alternative, not-in-kind, technologies. Prior to that, he led the development of Trane’s flagship product, Trane TruComfort Variable Speed. He is the holder of six U.S. patents and has served as the chairman of ASHRAE’s technical committees 8.11 – Unitary and Room Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps and 1.1 – Thermodynamics and Psychrometrics. Mr. LeRoy was awarded Purdue University’s Outstanding Mechanical Engineer Award in 2014. Every year, the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University recognizes 4-6 alumni who have demonstrated excellence in industry, academia, governmental service, or other endeavors related to mechanical engineering.
