   The Director of Elementary Schools is responsible for overseeing 14 schools with a total of students. The majority of these students are students of color, and approximately 50% of them are English Language learners. This role requires exceptional change management skills, as the Director is responsible for implementing and driving positive change initiatives throughout the district.In addition, strong leadership coaching expertise is essential for this position. I provide guidance and support to school principals and staff, helping them develop their leadership abilities and improve instructional practices. This coaching will help create a culture of continuous improvement and ensure that all schools are meeting the needs of their diverse students. I play a pivotal role in activating the Superintendent\'s vision for the district. In doing so I ensure that student experiences are at the forefront of decision-making. Furthermore, I must prioritize creating positive adult condition and work alongside scholl leaders allocating necessary resources to ensure that both staff and students thrive. This involves strengthening the muscle of the school’s Instructional Leadership Team toward a shared commitment toward fostering a supportive and inclusive work environments, providing professional development opportunities, and ensuring that all schools have the resources they need to support student growth and achievement. By focusing on the well-being and development of both adults and students, I strive to create an environment conducive to academic success.In summary, the Director of Elementary Schools overseeing students, with a majority of students of color and a significant number of English Language learners, must possess strong change management skills, leadership coaching expertise, the ability to activate the Superintendent\'s vision, and the capacity to ensure that both students and staff are thriving.
