Provide the leadership needed to achieve continuous improvement and operational excellence in the execution of the transportation plan and service unit’s safety plan. • Work cross-functionally and maintain a network perspective, integrating service unit and company business objectives, and training rule compliance. • Lead the one-time execution of the territory’s transportation plan while maximizing operations to ensure efficient, safe car handling and on-time departures, increased productivity, and reduced operations expenses. • Identify, recommend, and implement action plans to meet the territory\'s operating requirements and improve the operating ratio. • Direct asset utilization and effectively manage operational resources to maximize capacity for the territory and control spend by pursuing efficiencies to achieve budgetary compliance. • Continually assess safety performance, initiating tactical and strategic safety improvement actions while building and reinforcing a culture of safety. • Lead, coach, and develop employees through a commitment to performance management to drive performance increases.
