Jason H. Gart is a nationally recognized applied historian and vice president at History Associates Incorporated (HAI), a research and analysis consultancy in Rockville, Maryland. Over the last 20+ years, Jason has successfully directed more than 500 historical and factual research investigations, including dozens of high-profile research assignments for AM 100 law firms and Fortune 100/500 companies, that have enabled his clients to reduce their financial liability, obtain successful judgements, and comply with regulatory requirements. Jason is an expert in reconstructing the historical fact record, and his work product has been relied on by senior counsel and C-suite decision makers in a wide array of industries—aerospace, defense, energy, transportation, insurance, and financial services. Jason previously served as one of ten nongovernmental members appointed to the Federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Advisory Committee, which reported to the Archivist of the United States. He has been interviewed and quoted in the New York Times, Marketplace, and Law360 and was selected as a Lawdragon Global 100 Leader in Legal Strategy & Consulting for the past four years. Jason received a PhD in history and an MA in public history from Arizona State University, where he studied under public history pioneer Noel J. Stowe. He graduated cum laude with a BS in history and politics from Drexel University.
