I am a senior operating department practitioner, qualified in 1992. I have worked anaesthetics, recovery and scrub for the whole period since qualification until december 2009. I have completed everything from minor to complex major roles within this arena, including polytrauma and emergency work. I completed the Advanced Life Support course several times. For a challenge I then took a position with Medacs Healthcare Ltd. as the Theatres Manager. Organising new and old business, improving candidate databases and compliance. I give the client contact with a clinical knowledge and experienced understanding of the requirements and needs of the units we supply. I have worked in the commercial sales setting for Karl Storz, Eschamann Equipment and MIS Healthcare for several years. I am now in a Clinical Training Lead role after three and a half years as the Theatre Manager for Optegra Eye Healthcares Manchester Hospital. The Clinical Training Lead role is national and is part of the Project Team to assist with growth of the business and getting new clinical sites open, staffed, equipped and finally clinically open and safe.
