Jason has 40 years’ experience in the UK travel industry commencing at the age of 16 for retailing/tour operating brand Neilson Travel following which time he spent 12 years working in various Co-operative Society Travel business’s (Norwest Co-op Travel, United Norwest Co-op Travel, and ultimately Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS)), incorporating various roles as Branch Manager (various locations), Regional Manager (various regions), Call Centre Manager, Sales Development Manager, and Head of Sales Development which included the implementation, nurturing and overseeing of brand new cross-marketing and Closed User Groups initiatives/activity for internal Co-operative businesses such as Co-operative Bank, Smile and Co-operative Food Retail in addition to operating external brand travel initiatives, Tesco, GoldFish, Barclaycard, Barclays, NatWest and numerous Credit Unions. Other Senior management roles included IT/web development, Marketing and Financial positions prior to joining Global Travel Group in 2003 as Sales Development Director overseeing various strategic integration projects including the groups adoption of their new ATOL product for members and also overseeing the integration of the groups in-house bed bank “Triton Rooms”. In 2009 Jason left the Global Travel Group/Stella Travel Services to form, build and oversee the growth and development of HolidayGems Ltd and Destination2 which has grown to become one of the fastest growing and most progressive consumer travel brands in the UK.
