   Jason A. Edwards is a Professor of Communication Studies at Bridgewater State University. I also served as chair of the department from 2020 to 2023. I teach courses on Political Communication, Political Discourse, Communication Theory, Research Methods, and Crisis Communication. I am the author/editor of Navigating the Post-Cold War World: President Clinton’s Foreign Policy Rhetoric, The Rhetoric of American Exceptionalism: Critical Essays, The Rhetoric of American Civil Religion: Symbols, Sinners, and Saints, and The Rhetoric of Official Apologies. Additionally, I have authored over forty articles and book chapters appearing in venues such as Rhetoric and Public Affairs, Communication Quarterly, Southern Journal of Communication, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and The Howard Journal of Communications. I have been honored as a Distinguished Research Fellow by the Eastern Communication Association and a Fulbright Specialist by the State Department.
