In this role, I oversee the US’s top-rated Pediatric Hospital Solid Organ & Thoracic Transplant Programs, a renowned Fetal Care Center, the Pancreas Care Center, and our Islet Cell Processing Lab. Key Deliverables:• Transformed our Transplant Services operating model from a divisional to a service line model, including developing the related strategic plan and guiding three phases of implementation. • Led our team in transplanting our highest volume in five decades, including record volume for Heart Transplants. • Established the first-ever Pediatric Standalone Hospital-Paired Kidney Exchange Program with the National Kidney Registry (managing 7 transplants to date, which is currently the highest volume in the US). • Built out our innovative Fetal Care Program through a strategic partnership with Tri-Health, delivering nearly 250 high-risk babies per year and performing 110+ fetoscopies in 2023 alone. • Positioned the facility to complete 120 total Pancreatectomy procedures with Islet Autotransplantation (TPIAT), setting the record for the highest volume worldwide.• Secured a partnership with the Cardiac Fontan Program to complete the first Heart-Liver transplant (and going on to complete 6 to date with 2 waitlisted) as the only US program performing this procedure. • Chaired our Organ Donation Committee, maintaining relationships with multiple community partners and both internal and external stakeholders at the corporate business level.
