There’s more to policing than solving crime. With a population of to protect in Warwickshire, our organisational structures, ICT and ways of working need to be super-efficient, up-to-date and agile, because losing data isn’t an option, the county is growing, and the crime landscape is constantly changing. As Director of Change for the Evolve Strategic Change Programme, I have led a £30m transformation project, which includes a significant and complex digital change – creating a future ready, more efficient and cost effective policing organisation for Warwickshire. Previously Head of Major Investigations, I led investigations relating to major crimes and headed up a dedicated team of officers across 2 regions. Critical thinking, problem solving and tenacity have been constant themes in my career, enabling me to deliver results against the odds – whether it’s solving complex crimes, or leading challenging change programmes. People focused and purpose driven, customer service delivery is at the centre of my work, and I have fulfilled additional roles in my career such as Family Liaison Coordinator. I have had the privilege of leading diverse teams, enjoying opportunities to mentor, coach and develop potential in others and seeing their own careers progress. I have also been Chair for internal complaints/professional standards hearings, playing a part in holding officers to account and maintaining public confidence.
