My primary role as Sound Supervisor is to mix the live studio-based elements of Sky Sports\' programmes with incoming sound from O.B crews & onsite Reporters to a high standard on Calrec audio consoles, as directed by the Gallery Production team.I take pride in my work & constantly strive to excel in audio, whatever project I\'m assigned to. I enjoy being part of our busy production team, & do everything I can to support my colleagues with an upbeat & \'can-do\' attitude. Main programmes include:• ‘Gillette Soccer Saturday’ & \'Special\'s.• Sky Sports Racing.• Multiple commentary + FX mixes for \'red button\' broadcast & international on-pass.• Sky Sports News.• US-PGA & European Golf tournaments.• Cricket, including the ICC World Cup, IPL, T20 Blast, ODI\'s & Test matches.• NFL American Football.• Tour de France (for NBC Sports USA)Other responsibilities include:• Ensuring all audio meets/exceeds quality levels, and that mixes comply with EBU R128 standards.• Clear, calm & friendly communication with Production.• Configuration & operation of Calrec ‘Apollo’, ‘Artemis’ & \'Brio\' consoles.• Programming & operation of Riedel systems for gallery talkback, IFBs & 4-wires.• Programming & operation of SerialTech ‘SpotOn’ music playback system.• Training crew in Calrec, Riedel, SpotOn, BNCS, radiomic & studio infrastructure.• Liaising with other technical departments (MCR, Technical Supervisors, Engineering) to ensure reliable & appropriately-configured delivery of incoming & outgoing audio.• Advising / liaising with Sound Operators regarding studio microphone & rig requirements.• Communicating with onsite Reporters, Camera Ops & OB-crew to ensure their audio meets delivery specifications.• Rigging commentary equipment including Glensound mixers & Coles lip mics.• Operation of Atos ‘BNCS’ systems.• Mic-ing & liaising with presenters & talent.• Liaising with Set builders, electricians & designers of new stages re’ audio equipment installation.
