ABOUT JASON COWAN

I am a recent J.D. graduate from Santa Clara University School of Law with a longstanding commitment to international criminal and humanitarian law. With prior graduate training at Harvard in government and public policy and practical experience at the U.S. Senate, international NGOs, and human rights legal clinics, I have centered my academic and professional path on advancing justice in the face of global conflict, atrocity, and displacement. Whether researching war crimes, assisting in post-conflict accountability, or advocating against modern-day slavery, I strive to be of service to the communities most impacted by violence and impunity. Currently, I am a Graduate Fellow at SCU Law, leading research and analysis for the California Racial Justice Act.CARJA Portfolio:California Racial Justice Act Resource Hub (californiarja.wordpress.com) California Racial Justice Act Bluesky (https://bsky.app/profile/californiarja.bsky.social)Recipient of the Dean\'s Leadership Award, Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Scholarship, and Santa Clara University School of Law Pro Bono Graduating Student of the Year AwardNextGen Initiative Member | Foreign Policy for AmericaAcademic Certificates:Public International Law CertificatePublic Interest and Social Justice CertificateInternational Relations Graduate CertificateOther Awards/Scholarships: Santa Clara Law Gold Pro Bono Award, B.T.
