   Responsible for all aspects of accounting, reporting, and internal controls for $10 billion segment, which includes over 130 distinct trial balances throughout 45 countries and significant global transaction processing (AR, AP, fixed assets) executed at shared service centers and third party vendors. • Enhanced internal control over close process by implementing key analytical review controls at trial balance level and enforcing timely follow-up during each close. • Improved quality and effectiveness of quarterly segment reporting package, which is presented to external auditors, evidences occurrence of several key review controls, and supports certain 10-Q/10-K footnote disclosures. • Performed due diligence, including assessment of potential accounting risks and integration challenges for several strategic acquisitions and oversaw integration of such acquisitions post transaction close. • Researched and documented all segment technical accounting issues/conclusions, and presented such conclusions to external auditors without any qualifications/disagreements. • Built and managed team of 15 direct reports with heavy focus on developing segment\'s regional controller roles, in order to identify potential successor.
