   Providing analysis, evaluation, and advice on the development, direction, and coordination of EOC-Polio Response planning and evaluation, legislative, and regulatory activities as they relate to the Polio Response. The specific duties of the job involve:1. Serves as primary deputy to Policy Lead – EOC Polio Response, and the Policy, Communications, and Partnerships Team, Global Immunization Division, Center for Global Health, CDC2. Serves as a liaison to divisions within CDC and with external partners in polio eradication, including WHO, UNICEF, Rotary International, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, U.S. State Department, USAID, and HHS to manage day-to-day activities and requests (including talking points, briefing documents, CDC and CGH Office of the Director requests, and management of monitoring and evaluation systems), long-term strategic planning, and partnership development.3. Leads budget formulation activities for the Global Immunization Division, which includes Polio Eradication and Global Measles and Other Vaccine Preventable Diseases.4. Conducts policy and issues management work, to include requests from Congress, HHS, and other CDC offices regarding global immunization issues.5. Prepares reports on progress, outcomes and trends for senior officials, including CGH leadership, FMO, HHS, Congress, etc.6. Translates scientific and programmatic information into communication products and briefing materials to respond to policy and partnership requests.7. Analyzes and summarizes data for use in communication products.8. Works with others to apply agency, department, and/or government wide evaluation efforts to program activities. Reports to the senior leadership on evaluation activities which are tracked by program, center, agency, departmental, and administration leadership.
