ABOUT JASON CARR HONS

With over 30 years of experience in security, law enforcement, and risk management, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to protect the safety, security, and well-being of patients, staff, visitors, and the organisation. As the Head of Security at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, I provide leadership, advice, direction, drive, and support at all levels and encapsulate the delivery of security, LSMS (Local Security Management Specialist), and NHS Travel and Car Park initiatives. I am committed to identifying, developing, implementing, and monitoring security issues, LSMS strategies, and car parking educational needs, and to developing loss, risk reduction, and management programmes throughout the trust. I value collaboration, innovation, and excellence, and I aim to align my goals with the trust\'s corporate Risk Management Strategy and vision.In my current role, I leverage my skills in evidence, law enforcement, and physical security to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security services and solutions. I also use my analytical and investigative skills to conduct and oversee criminal investigations and to work alongside various other agencies, such as Her Majesty\'s Revenue and Customs and Inland Revenue investigation teams, in relation to major fraud operations across the UK. I am responsible for managing budgets, achieving key performance indicators, conducting performance reviews, conducting operational dynamic risk assessments, and providing daily video briefing to staff and command team. I also manage staff overtime and health and safety advice and compliance, and plan motivational team away days and assessments for staff to improve their own team skills. I have received multiple awards and commendations for my work, including the Best Collaborative Award from outservice provider to NHS and the Superintendant\'s Commendation for saving the life of a colleague.
