ABOUT JASON BOOMER
I\'m the Director of SideFest Ltd, a Leicester-based company providing services to the games industry and Games-as-Edutech provider to schools. I am also a PhD student at De Montfort University and my research focuses on toxicity in online gaming communities.I earned an MA in Creative Technologies (First class with distinction) from DMU in 2016, and a BSc in Computer Games Technology from Portsmouth University in 2009.I have been a STEM Ambassador (STEM Learning) in the East Midlands since 2014, which I support through the free CreateACon event (SideFest) and games-based workshops (SideFest).I was the organiser of the Rooster Teeth UK community gaming event from 20••••20 inclusive, and through this have been a keen supporter of the Special Effect gaming charity. In 2016, I became the Head Guardian (managing volunteer staff) of RTX London, the official Rooster Teeth Expo, where I managed a team of over 300 volunteers at the 2017 and 2018 events.
