Was main SME and driver behind delivering Kubernetes with Istio service mesh to the enterprise, along with creating Helm charts for templating in order to transition enterprise to an architecture more suited for microservices. Implemented Gitops with Flux to make scaling clusters a non-issue, rolling out updates to 100\'s of clusters with the merging of a PR. Created, standardized, and helped troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for developers, including building of docker images, integration/unit testing, secure secret injection, and rollback strategies. Perform hands-on technical coaching to accelerate cloud infrastructure knowledge across the organization. Helped develop and give an extensive 5 part training course to release train teams throughout the enterprise on Docker, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. Deployed multiple applications into AWS using API Gateway, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, EC2, SQS, SNS, and much more. Worked with developers on troubleshooting applications, pulling metrics, designing blue/green deployment methods, and pushing code. Worked with Cloudformation and Terraform to create templates and modules for the entire enterprise to automate the creation and deployment of various AWS resources, resulting in less downtime, troubleshooting, and time to onboard, all while increasing the security of our cloud infrastructure. Worked on a huge project spanning the entire company involving multiple development teams to consolidate multiple identity solutions into a single IDP solution that utilized OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect. Key contributor and driver on an AWS ECS initiative, creating a CI/CD pipeline for Docker containers into AWS using Git, CircleCI, and ECS. Created boilerplate task definition and CircleCI files as well as created Terraform scripts to automate the deployment of the infrastructure via IAC. Took time to get an app into production from 4-6 weeks to less than a week.
