   Jason W. Billeck is a Managing Director and the General Counsel at BVA Group. In addition to his role as a Managing Director serving clients, he is responsible for providing legal support to BVA in connection with its operations.Mr. Billeck has directed all aspects of complex litigation, including pre-suit investigation and analysis, discovery, mediation and settlement negotiations, advising clients on litigation strategy, significant hearings, and serving as trial and appellate counsel in cases ranging from small commercial disputes to bet the company litigation. In particular, Mr. Billeck has taken lead roles in retaining, preparing, and presenting experts for testimony and examining and deposing opposing experts, routinely involving economic damages and complex valuation models. In connection with his experience in this area, Mr. Billeck presented an ABA Webinar on “How to Prepare Your Expert Witness for Deposition,” and co-authored “Hired Help Can Pose Risks to Confidentiality – When Non-Lawyer Consultants are Included in Communication, Attorney-Client Privilege Protection May be Unavailable,” New York Law Journal.Mr. Billeck also maintained a pro bono practice, including numerous matters representing children with intellectual and emotional disabilities in connection with receiving educational support and accommodations. Mr. Billeck received his BBA in Finance from TCU. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston Law Center, earning Order of Coif honors. He is admitted to practice in Texas and New York and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and all United States District Courts in the State of Texas.Mr. Billeck has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America: Bankruptcy Litigation. Benchmark Litigation also recognized Mr. Billeck as a Future Litigation Star. He has authored articles in the ABI Journal and New York Law Journal and presented on numerous legal issues.
