About Jasmin Varjavand

Jasmin is an experienced commercial real estate professional licensed to practice law in California and Washington, D.C. After gaining experience as a transactional real estate attorney at a large law firm, she now serves as a property tax specialist at Ryan LLC, a global tax services firm, helping her commercial real estate clients save money by reducing their property tax burden. Jasmin is passionate about connecting with people, finding areas of growth and opportunity, and becoming a leader in commercial real estate. As an attorney, Jasmin has experience representing institutional investors, owners and developers in complex commercial real estate transactions involving the sale, acquisition, joint venture, development and financing of various asset types. Her experience includes the representation of a private equity real estate investment firm in the portfolio sale of 100+ industrial properties for a combined purchase price of $1.1 billion. She has also dedicated hundreds of hours to pro bono work, including leading the acquisition of a square foot office and warehouse building for a California-based food bank, allowing the nonprofit organization to expand its facilities and further its mission to end hunger by distributing more meals to families in need. Jasmin is proud to have been designated as a HUD Student Ambassador through the Partnership for Public Service after completing an internship at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C. Jasmin also served as a real estate legal intern at CBRE\'s global headquarters, interned for top real estate developer Caruso Affiliated, worked at the USC Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, and conducted research on affordable housing for the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate where she was also a report author for the Casden Real Estate Economics Forecast. Jasmin received her B.S. in real estate development from USC (Go Trojans!), earned her J.D. from Berkeley Law, combined with an Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate, and studied tax at Stanford Law. Jasmin was the recipient of the first-ever ICSC Undergraduate Real Estate Award and is an active member of Urban Land Institute where she volunteers for UrbanPlan, a project-based learning program offered in high schools around the country. On a personal level, Jasmin loves dancing, hiking, painting, exploring new cultures and learning about human behavior.
