Prior to this role, I directed public safety and civil rights policy at NCDOJ and served as lead counsel for the Governor’s Task Force for Racial Equity in Criminal Justice, which in 2020 published 125 recommendations to improve fairness in the state’s criminal justice system. In 2022, I became an Eisenhower Fellow and traveled to Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Ghana, where I examined how other countries undertake criminal justice reform and approach racial equity issues.I am a seasoned legal & government manager and with experience conducting white collar criminal investigations, anti-corruption compliance, and civil litigation.
