ABOUT JASMINE BADIEE KONRAD
The next generation of successful engineers will be the ones who leverage the tools at their disposal to extend their expertise. As Team Lead of Innovation and Automation at NEI Electric Power Engineering, I build tools and lead the team that takes repetitive, manual work off engineers\' plates so they can spend their energy on the problems that require their unique expertise, human judgement, and creativity. I\'m comfortable in this tension and ambiguity. I hold a PhD in Energy Systems Engineering and spent years asking big questions about the intersection of energy consumption, human development, and resource use. That work gave me a deep appreciation for complexity, and a restlessness to see ideas actually change things. These days I lead a team, speak at industry conferences, and stay genuinely curious about how the engineering profession navigates AI. It\'s a nuanced topic and I don\'t think anyone has it fully figured out, which is exactly why I love talking about it. If that resonates, let\'s chat!
