About Jasmine Wright

Energetic and passionate quantum physicist and researcher who co-discovered four exoplanets orbiting around a sun-like star 200 light years from Earth while part of the Student Research Mentoring Program at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the MIT Kavli Institute of Astrophysics and Space Research in 2019. I co-authored the peer-reviewed published paper in January 2021 in the Astronomical Journal detailing this discovery and its significance, which led to CHEOPS detection of the fifth planet. I’m continuing my education and contributions to Quantum Computing and Quantum Physics as an Honors Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science student at the University of Colorado Boulder. I\'m an undergraduate researcher in the Holland Group at JILA. My research centers around Atom Interferometry and Bloch Oscillations, which use machine learning and C++ to produce simulations. I am a Quantum Scholar and a member of the Women in Computing and the CU Figure Skating Team. Twice received the Aspirations in Computing Massachusetts Affiliate Award (2020, 2021) for the National Center for Women and Information Technology. Active in peer leadership and major advocate for young girls pursuing education and careers in STEM.
