ABOUT JASMINE OWENS
I’m currently a Paralegal Specialist at U.S. Department of Justice with goals of attending law school and becoming a future attorney. My experience from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to the U.S. Senate has sparked my interest in both legal and public policy fields. In the midst of the pandemic, I finished a virtual legislative internship at Senator Chris Van Hollen\'s office, which taught me the importance of advocating for everyday American citizens. I have recently graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Africana Studies and Political Science. These concentrations have provided invaluable insight into the civil rights, constitutional, and social justice issues in today’s world. I hope that my philosophy and skills will lead to a greater sense of social equality.
