About Jasmina Nikolov
I build communities to fuel the work of mission-driven organizations. In each institution I have built capacity, streamlined processes and procedures, managed projects, recruited and developed talent. Ultimately I am best at disarming people with my quirky charm to empower people to make the world a better place. Over the past 10 years I: Reinvigorated a 110-year-old mentoring program: increased efficiency, oversaw program, case-managed up to 25 matches, updated and expanded training, and recruited a record number of new mentors with limited resources in under a year. Authored curricula and facilitated classes and trainings in-person and online for youth and adults Created a grant-funded mentoring program serving 50 teens and young adults. Was celebrated for planting trees on a barren commercial strip & engaging volunteers & businesses to keep the trees healthy Improved processes within a cooperative by developing and hosting educational programming, and project managing and co-creating our website. And, most recently Worked to build and expand an online synchronous learning platform to bring free, high-quality classes to everyone during the pandemic. The initiatives listed above illustrate my lifelong devotion to my community, a commitment I maintained while pursuing a flexible career as a real estate entrepreneur, enabling me to raise my son. I continue to grow and learn alongside him as he becomes more independent. Recently I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City College of New York, with course work reflecting my interest in psychology, public policy, urban studies, inequality, displacement, and foster youth. My leadership strengths include: Outreach and community engagement Volunteer recruitment, management, and retention Long and short-term planningI specialize in: Live classroom training and online facilitation using platforms like Zoom and WebEx Program development Process Improvement Curriculum development Project management Event planning Streamlining processes and codifying policies and procedures to make everyone’s lives easier Presenting compelling visual/oral arguments Maintaining positive, professional relationships Growing through challenges
