ABOUT JASMINA SUMANOVIC
Early in my life I learned from my parents and grandparents that passion and curiosity makes life worth living. Passion and Curiosity are the behavior that help me evolve day after day.Curiosity brought me from my first position as Assistant Quality Manager in a little factory in Germany to where I am today, the Director of Operations at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.On this way I had the incredible chance to work as Safety & Health Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager at Nestle Waters Europe and Nestle Waters North America and as Security and Process Safety Manager at Mondelez International. My passion and love for animals got me not only 3 wonderful rescue dogs and a bearded dragon, but also a dog trainer certification and countless volunteer hours as trainer with multiple shelter and rescue organization. When Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter reached out to see if I would be interested to join the Canine Behavior Department, I knew it was time to start a complete new chapter and leave the the manufacturing industry behind me.
