    Working under Dr. Vasilis Z Marmarelis, I primarily utilize dynamic linear modeling techniques, namely the Laguerre Expansion Technique (LET), to model physiological systems, with a focus on how cerebrovasculature behaves and declines in clinical dementia and Alzheimer\'s Disease populations compared to healthily aging populations.As part of this work, I collaborated with a team at the University of Leicestershire, applying our lab\'s methodology to their dataset, resulting in a first-author publication demonstrating how cerebral autoregulation behaves in a healthy aging population while cognitively active. As a follow-up paper, I aim to apply the same analysis and compare the results of the aforementioned cohort to an age-matched group of cognitively impaired elderly adults (paper pending).For my dissertation, I am currently running an IRB-approved study to explore the effects of transcutaneous auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation (taVNS) on a healthy cognitively active adult population by applying the LET to physiological signals in various configurations.
