WORK HISTORY
Data Protection Officer @Phoenix Mental Health Services
Wooburn Green, GB
In the months leading up to the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2019), I was largely responsible for ensuring the clinic and medico-legal business were compliant. This involved becoming educated on the law entirely so I could confidently be the point of contact for employees and businesses/agencies we worked with. I was also involved in creating policies that ensure compliance and the creation of new consent forms, privacy policies, appointment letters and other related documents. I continue to monitor our adherence to GDPR standards and advise on our compliance. In December 2019, I delivered an in-depth presentation on this topic to psychiatrists looking to get into private practice at The Royal College of Psychiatrists.

ABOUT JASMIN PARMAR
I am a passionate graduate with an interest in cognition, particularly in memory and the way it works. I have had over 4 years experience working in a private clinic using rTMS as an intervention which can help improve cognition in people who suffer from dementia and for the treatment of drug-resistant depression using a NICE-approved protocol. I am currently completing my masters degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, due to December 2020. I have presented at The Royal College of Psychiatrist about the patient benefits and experiences that I have observed through my clinical experience of using rTMS as an intervention in dementia patients. I have also been a part of the Alzheimer\'s Show working alongside Neuronix and last year I obtained a European TMS Certificate after attending the TMS Conference run by Maastricht University. Read my interview with MagVenture on all things TMS: I am keen on furthering my clinical experience through my Masters degree and my current job. I am also actively working on getting funding to complete some academic research involving TMS and its benefits.
