About Jasmin Lechuga Carrasco
I am passionate about using technology to support education and give back to my community. Through my work as a Program Coordinator with Elevate Tutoring, I help support education programs that serve students and families by connecting people to resources, mentorship, and learning opportunities. I have also contributed to education and technology research, including publishing a paper and using it through my work with Conectado. I enjoy working on projects that involve data, design, and problem solving, including web scraping, UI and UX design, and data analysis. Working with tools like Python, HTML, CSS, and Java has helped me better understand how systems work and how insights can be turned into meaningful action. With a strong background in education and mentorship, I bring a people-first mindset to technology and value collaboration, clear communication, and building accessible, impactful solutions. I am motivated by work that brings together education, technology, and community impact, and I am excited to continue growing in spaces where these areas intersect.
Experience
Education Technology Intern
Feb 2025 — Present
As an Education Technology Intern at Conectado, I contributed to the creation of culturally responsive, AI-integrated learning experiences aimed at bridging equity gaps in education. I co-developed a comprehensive pedagogical framework and built a Learning Management System (LMS) within Canvas and Notion to support a 12-week AI literacy bootcamp for underserved students, educators, and entrepreneurs. This included designing step-by-step curriculum guides in integrating AI tools like Wix, and Notion AI, aligning activities with best practices in digital learning and inclusivity. I also led feedback sessions with 10+ educators and students, using their insights to refine the curriculum, improve usability, and ensure the program’s content was engaging, accessible, and impactful.
