My responsibilities include: • Frontline Incident Response: Rapidly responding to IT incidents and resolving complex technical issues involving desktops, laptops, peripherals, and critical healthcare systems to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity. • Change Management Leadership: Proactively presenting and reviewing IT changes at Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to ensure smooth implementation and alignment with organizational goals. • Disaster Management Readiness: Serving as IT Lead on the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Disaster Management Steering Committee, ensuring IT systems are resilient and prepared to support operations during emergencies. • Information Security Advocacy: Collaborating with the Information Security Management Team to identify and mitigate risks, promote best practices, and enhance AHS’s security posture across multiple zones. • Provincial Team Representation: Representing our IT team at provincial operations meetings, aligning local actions with broader organizational objectives and fostering collaboration. • Asset Management & Optimization: Managing inventory and retiring outdated equipment to maintain resource efficiency and ensure readiness for future technological demands. • Team Development & Support: Contributing to the hiring process and fostering a positive team environment through initiatives such as team huddles and knowledge-sharing sessions.My role is driven by a commitment to supporting frontline healthcare operations through resilient IT systems and proactive security measures.
