About Josimar A. Silva
I am a computational scientist with a background in earth sciences. Throughout my industry and academic careers I have worked on a variety of projects related to subsurface energy production and environmental hazards mitigation including, but not limited, to induced seismicity and carbon storage in geological formations. I leverage cutting-edge modeling and programming skills to process, analyze and extract information from data. I am an expert in formulating and testing hypothesis using data and models. I develop, implement and apply numerical models to solve complex engineering and other subsurface problems. My problem solving approach combines in depth data analysis and modeling, which can be useful in a variety of settings. I greatly enjoy the interaction with multidisciplinary disciplines and I value environments that thrive on team work, collaboration and problem centered approaches.
