Manage system-level UAV vehicle global finite element model (GFEM) using FEMAP, including conceptualizing load cases, updating features, and creating INCLUDE file structure Create a g-map, a Python script to calculate g loads to size miscellaneous secondary structures/LRU’s to given distance from aircraft CG taking into account all relevant vehicle load cases. Incorporated random vibration levels due to jet engine acoustics and aerodynamic induced vibration per MIL-STD-810G Create Python script to calculate landing, launch, handling, and fuel pressure loads for each mass code and vehicle configuration, and create plots of forces and moments in each direction, and use max points to obtain critical load cases Extract shear force, bending moment, and torsion (VMT) diagrams from enveloping load cases from system-level finite element model Develop subsystem random vibration and sinusoidal vibration levels for use in test by converting time history signal to frequency domain and scaling to acceptance and qualification levels Perform MRB stress analysis of aircraft repairs and substantiate aircraft non-conformities during manufacturing using classical hand calculations and breakout subsystem level FEM Develop breakout subsystem level FEM of primary and secondary structures of UAV, including landing gear, exhaust, cowling, nose, and fuselage, and analyze for static (including nonlinear and transient), dynamic (including random vibration and frequency response), fatigue, and fastener hand calculations. Used Nastran SOL 101, 103, 105, 108, 109, 112, and 200.
