ABOUT JASHANPREET SINGH
To be more specific, I am an ambitious and dedicated professional, who feel inspired to work in the field of cybersecurity. Having engineering experience and a strong emphasis in network engineering, I served for two years as an Associate Network Engineer at Capgemini, where duties involved proper network settings adjustment as well as problem solving for network complexities. After that, I was associated as a Network Security Engineer with TCS where my responsibilities included providing security to the networks, firewall management and intrusion detection systems for a period of one year which in turn provided me a rigorous insight of the existing cyber threat environment. I possess a three-year BCA degree and have recently passed the Post-graduate Certificate course in Cybersecurity from the reputable Durham College of Oshawa, Canada. This program enabled me to take a deep dive into cybersecurity incidents, response efforts, vulnerability, threat, and more, which I further shows my suitability in continuing to pursue this ever-evolving profession. At present I am employed at Durham College, Oshawa as a Cybersecurity Research Assistant where I work with the state of the art research methodologies to solve critical and upcoming cybersecurity issues in order to evolve better solutions in this field. This makes it possible to put into practice the theoretical knowledge into actual events, the improvement of problem solving abilities, and extending of the expertise. My skills include but are not limited to the following Cybersecurity field and networking; Cybersecurity Incident Response, System Configuration, IPS & IDS, Global Protect & Cisco Open VPN, Vulnerability Assessment, Threat & Vulnerability Management, Networking, Certified Palo Alto Networks Firewall, and Virtual Private Network (VPN). However, my deep interest and potential work opportunity target the cybersecurity sphere, so I am eager to develop and enrich my knowledge with experience in this ever-evolving domain. I attend a large number of trainings, make sure that I am aware of all trends, gain necessary knowledge, which helps me for the creation of secure digital environments. I am eager to share the information and work with the kindred spirits in practice to meet with the like-minded individuals and exchange information.
