ABOUT JASCHAR SHAKURI-RAD

As Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Mon Health, I lead one of the region’s most advanced surgical programs, offering minimally invasive solutions for patients with urologic cancers and complex benign conditions. With extensive experience, I specialize in robotic-assisted procedures for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, using both multi-port and single-port platforms including the Intuitive Da Vinci SP and the latest Da Vinci 5 system.My clinical practice is driven by innovation and a commitment to improving outcomes. I have introduced new surgical techniques such as the transvesical radical prostatectomy and have played a key role in expanding outpatient robotic surgery in the region. I have been recognized as a Center of Excellence surgeon for robotic surgery, sacral neuromodulation, and UroLift, and was the first in West Virginia to offer several advanced technologies including single-port robotic surgery, Aquablation and UroLift for BPH, and implantable solutions for erectile dysfunction and overactive bladder.In addition to clinical care, I have developed and patented novel surgical tools that improve performance in minimally invasive surgery. I collaborate with medical technology companies as a clinical advisor, helping refine and implement next-generation surgical solutions.I am also passionate about education and mentorship. I regularly teach robotic techniques to surgeons across the United States and internationally, with a focus on expanding access to high-quality, innovative urologic care.
