Serves Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) members through research, analysis, collaboration and leadership regarding workforce and health care policy that affect hospitals and health systems. Leads the association\'s federal policy and advocacy, workforce activities, and provides leadership to the KHA staff that focus efforts on workforce issues, health care financial policy, and other special initiatives. I\'m passionate about public service, particularly one of the highest callings of public service: Health Care. Serving communities during their most vulnerable moments fuels my commitment to making a meaningful impact through advancing health care in Kansas. I am honored to serve as the Director of Workforce and Health Care Policy at the Kansas Hospital Association as we work to achieve the vision of Optimal Health for Kansans and Kansas Hospitals.In my capacity, I coordinate the association’s federal policy and advocacy efforts to ensure proper implementation and understanding of KHA’s member needs to Kansas policymakers, federal agencies, and other stakeholders. Additionally, I lead initiatives and foster collaboration with key partners to expand our state\'s health care workforce supply and enhance the capacity of current health care professionals, contributing to the overall resilience and effectiveness of our health care system. Through strategic planning and partnership development, I work towards creating a health care infrastructure and ecosystem that is robust, resilient, and adaptive to the evolving needs of our communities.I received my Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and obtained undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science with Honors from Washburn University.
