I am currently Advisor and Senior Reviewer in the Strategy, Policy and Review (SPR) Department of the International Monetary Fund. Before joining SPR, I was Deputy Division Chief in the Asia and Pacific Department (APD). I led Fund missions to Nepal, India (as deputy Mission Chief), Solomon Islands and Cambodia. and covered cross-cutting economic issues with focus on the financial sector, inequality, governance/corruption, developing countries and fragile states and South Asia. I have also worked in the Western Hemisphere Department (WHD) as Mission Chief to The Bahamas and Senior Economist in the United States team (with focus on monetary policy), as well as in SPR where I worked on Egypt, Belarus and various Fund policy issues, including conditionality in IMF programs, international trade and competitiveness, and jobs and growth.
