I’m an arts leader focused on building systems that allow artists and communities to thrive.As Director of Visual and Public Art at the Oklahoma Arts Council, I lead the team responsible for stewarding the state’s public art collections, exhibitions, and visual arts initiatives. Together, we manage statewide programs that place and care for works of art in public spaces while expanding opportunities for artists.Public art has the power to shape how communities see themselves. It can honor shared history, create space for reflection, and invite people to imagine new possibilities for the future.My leadership approach is grounded in connectivity. I believe meaningful change begins with building teams with varied skills and expertise, understanding the systems and relationships already in place, and working collaboratively to strengthen them. From there, I focus on developing strategies that expand opportunities while supporting excellence, accountability, and long-term sustainability.I’m particularly interested in initiatives that expand opportunities for artists, strengthen creative economies, and connect public art to broader civic goals. At its best, public art helps communities see their stories reflected in the places they live.

   As Director of Visual and Public Art, I lead statewide initiatives that enhance and promote Oklahoma’s visual and public art landscape. Partnering with artists, communities, and stakeholders, I guide the development of public art projects, exhibitions, and programs that reflect and celebrate the state’s rich cultural identity.Key responsibilities-Oversee statewide public art initiatives, including commissions, funding strategies, and strategic partnerships-Lead a cross-disciplinary team responsible for curation, conservation, and accessibility of the state’s public and visual art collections-Engage with artists, arts organizations, and community leaders to advance artistic development and deepen public participation-Shape policies and programs that strengthen sustainability and growth of the arts sector-Represent the Oklahoma Arts Council in public forums, delivering presentations and contributing thought leadership in arts management.I am passionate about leveraging the power of public art to inspire, connect, and transform communities. My commitment is to create meaningful opportunities for artists while ensuring that visual art continues to thrive as a vital part of Oklahoma’s cultural landscape.
