   Joining Hitchcock ISD felt less like taking a new job and more like stepping into a calling. As the district’s Digital Media & Marketing Specialist, I have the honor of sharing the stories of our students, staff, and community—stories rooted in resilience, pride, and purpose.In this role, I manage all district-level communications, social media, marketing campaigns, media relations, branding, and crisis response. Whether I’m capturing moments at a pep rally, designing outreach materials for parents, or writing messaging during a sensitive situation, my focus is always the same: connect people to the heart of our schools.One of the greatest strengths of Hitchcock ISD is its small-town closeness. With just over students, I have the unique opportunity to know our kids, our staff, and our families personally. That closeness allows me to craft messaging that is not only informative, but also authentic, compassionate, and community-centered.Since joining the district, I’ve worked to build trust with local media, strengthen internal communications, and ensure that every school, teacher, and student feels seen and celebrated. I also support district leadership with strategic communication planning, emergency alerts, and public engagement initiatives.What I love most about this role is that it allows me to do meaningful work with eternal impact. I believe in our mission, I love our kids, and I’m proud to be part of the Bulldog family—because what starts here truly can change the world. 🤍
