I design systems, products, and services that help people move faster, think clearer, and work more effectively.Early in my career, my experience as a volunteer firefighter sparked my passion for emergency services and public safety. My work in the public safety space focuses on a simple but often overlooked reality: seconds matter, and confusion costs lives. I specialize in reducing response time and cognitive load for first responders, building occupants, and public safety professionals through clear, standardized, and durable wayfinding systems.My first company, Emergency Information Systems, began as a high school engineering project informed by my experience as a volunteer firefighter in CT. Originally designed in response to the Sandy Hook shooting and refined during my time at Drexel University, I developed WAYFINDER™, a standardized reflective window and door numbering system for K-12 Schools and college campuses that helps first responders to expeditiously identify and respond to where their help is needed. Written after over a decade of designing tailored safety systems, our WAYFINDER labeling guidelines have been adopted across the country as a prevailing specification. WAYFINDER™ Reflective Window Number Labels remain the only solution available that meets and exceeds national guidelines for building labelling. Since then, the WAYFINDER™ Safety System has evolved into a broader offer, incorporating intuitive building navigation aids, directional signage systems, and evacuation maps that are designed to be understood in three seconds or less by students in grades 4 and under. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our Project S•A•F•E Initiative (Stand Apart, Fight Exposure) created engaging social distancing systems and the world’s first social distancing curricular supplements to help students safely return to campus.Over time, this same systems-based approach led to the creation of On The Spot Wraps and Lettering. We designed an efficient \"stress-free signage\" customer experience, applying our signage manufacturing capabilities learned through EIS. Through On The Spot Wraps, I’ve built a streamlined, systems-driven approach to vehicle graphics that reduces friction in purchasing, design, and installation.In parallel with my private-sector work, I serve on my local Borough Council on the Public Works & Parks and Recreation and Public Safety committees, contributing to discussions around community safety, emergency response infrastructure, and regional emergency services consolidation.
