   Represent plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes, including claims for breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, and patent infringement. Focus on telecommunications, financial services, and real estate industries. Representative experiences: • Winning jury verdict on all claims for construction subcontractor in Northern District of Texas action alleging minimum wage and overtime violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and breach of contract. • Winning grant of summary judgment on plaintiff’s claims in Texas state putative class action on behalf of insurance company based on alleged denial of uninsured/underinsured (UM/UIM) motorist coverage. • Securing payment in full of outstanding debt under commercial mortgage after filing summary judgment in federal action to enforce the mortgage guaranty on behalf of lender. • Securing TRO under the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act to prevent dissemination or use of employer’s trade secrets by former employee who absconded with them. • Securing preliminary injunction in the Court of Chancery for the State of Delaware preventing the distribution of sufficient proceeds from the sale of substantially all of the assets of an oil and gas investor to make whole an equity interest holder who was denied equity distribution payments. • Resolving in tenant’s favor a pre-litigation dispute between tenant and post-foreclosure landlord concerning the tenant’s audit rights and overpayments of costs and expenses to pre-foreclosure landlord. • Representing inmate telecommunications provider in trio of federal lawsuits alleging patent infringement and tortious interference. • Conducting pre-litigation research and analysis of possible claims for a variety of clients in the real estate, financial services, and manufacturing industries. • Challenging disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act of client’s confidential and proprietary materials submitted as part of a request for qualifications.
