ABOUT JARED ROST
I’m a Computer Science co-op student at the University of Manitoba and am currently completing my honours project in Machine Learning, where I am designing a model to generate plants in various stages of fungal infection. Previously, I’ve used C++ to help ship games at Ubisoft and Go/Ruby to design backend APIs at Priceline.My interests lie at the intersection of full-stack development, machine learning, and distributed systems. I’m fluent in Java, C#, Rust, Python, and C++, and I build modern web front-ends with JavaScript/TypeScript and React. I’ve deployed microservices on AWS and Kubernetes, and I’m always exploring new tools—right now, I’m working on ReceiptBox, a lightweight mobile/web app to help users organize and manage their receipts effortlessly.
