About Jared B. Shaffer

I love learning about customers and testing product ideas. Here\'s a few quick things about me.1) My first ever job was mowing lawns in my neighborhood. Still have a farmer\'s tan on my arms.2) I created a startup\'s first theme-based roadmap that was relentlessly focused on solving customer problems. I was the only PM on a team with 20 engineers and no designers. While I was managing product, revenue grew from $6M to nearly $20M.3) I started my professional career in Customer Success at a startup and unknowingly wiggled my way into a product management role when I conducted user research, created designs, and shipped a tool for calculating sales tax for online sporting good stores for my Canadian neighbors.4) Most recently at UserVoice, I launched a first of its kind interactive, feedback-focused product roadmap using PLG strategies.5) I\'ve worked alongside multiple VPs of Engineering, retooling development processes to agile sprints as well as the lean Shape-Up development process.Beyond the boardroom, I\'ve championed game-changing initiatives, including pioneering a custom payment processing platform, designing an intelligent product recommendation algorithm, and orchestrating seamless vendor integrations with industry giants like Adidas and UnderArmour.
