Working as a consultant in conjunction with Rob Chester at SCI the WH Smith Travel Commercial Director brought me into the business to overhaul the supplier approval and onboarding process to maintain safety and legality requirements whilst at the same time trying to open up the approval process to some smaller local suppliers where risk could be managed on a case-by-case basis. At the same time as developing systems I was to help develop a food culture within the travel team and increase the company exposure and inclusion in key industry stakeholders such ats the British Sandwich Association, BRC and Campden BRI
