About Jared Pels

I had the privilege of serving a diverse patient population at Parkland/UTSW. Ocular disease and patient education were my primary focuses for a number of years - it was challenging and rewarding. Along the way, I was able to continue my development with an MBA that focused on healthcare leadership and coaching others.These experiences and my background in private practice led me to AEG. Here, I learned from specialized optometry clinics in an operations and eyecare director role before transitioning into my current position. AEG’s commitment to its people has been uplifting and I hope to continue that focus. I look forward to supporting our ODs and field leaders as they continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

   Central + North TX, CO, NE, KC, AZ, UT, ID (~120 practices)- Supports and consults with the Field Team on management of ODs in the region- Strives to achieve goals for OD KPIs such as: Revenue, NPS, continuity of care, and exam growth. Develops action plans for improvement- Coaches and develops field management team to aid in the execution of clinical strategies- Screening, interviewing, compensation discussions and coordination of legal contracts w/ ODs- Responsible for development and execution of onboarding / orientation of new ODs, communication and relationship management.
