ABOUT JARED PEACOCK

My background is in electromagnetics. My Ph.D. research used magnetotellurics to monitor fluids in enhanced geothermal systems. My Master\'s research looked at the high frequency properties of water. I\'m interested in helping geothermal energy become a viable energy source by limiting the unknowns of the subsurface using geophysics. I have also helped write an open source computer package for magnetotellurics, called MTPy (https://github.com/geophysics/mtpy). I believe science should be open source and available to anybody, not just those that can afford it—and try to follow that as much as possible.
