ABOUT JARED NATHAN
I am currently working as a Global Product Development Hardware TRACK Engineer at General Motors, working as an Aerodynamics Performance Engineer. Holder of a BS in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University with a minor in Global Engineering Studies through the Purdue GEARE Program and a concentration in Materials Science and Engineering. I have a passion for mechanical systems, automation, aerospace, automotive, sustainable design, robotics, and 3D modeling.During the Summer of 2022, I completed an internship as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Honeybee Robotics, gaining expertise in robotic actuator design, especially component torque loss modeling and characterization of actuator designs, as well as test setup design for motor systems.During the Summer of 2021, I completed an internship as a Component Release Engineering Intern at BorgWarner, performing critical functions in the development of testing of electric motor stator components, design of test fixtures, and improvement of technical specifications for welds.I performed research in the area of small scale 3D printing for water treatment applications as part of the Warsinger Water Lab at Purdue University.At Purdue, I had numerous technical project experiences, including working as a member of the Purdue Lunabotics Drivetrain team, and serving as a member of the General Design and Chem and Heat Transfer Teams for Project Polaris, an international collaborative engineering project, as well as substantial experience in 3D modeling and CAD.Through internship/mentorship experiences at the Mayo Clinic 3D anatomic modeling laboratory and in collaboration with the Boston Children\'s Hospital, I have gained experience in complex 3D modeling and manufacturing methods.
