As a member of Express’s Senior Leadership Team, I play a key role in enterprise strategic planning, helping to shape long-term business objectives and align legal and compliance priorities with the company’s overall vision and risk appetite. I support the implementation and execution of those strategies through cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing practical, solutions-oriented guidance to the business.I lead the Legal and Compliance department, including direct management and development of the company’s in-house attorneys and compliance professionals and the planning, oversight, and optimization of the enterprise Legal, ensuring that resources are deployed efficiently to support the company’s growth and strategic goals.I advise the company on all aspects of transactions undertaken, overseeing the end-to-end contracting process and serving as a primary source of business counsel on deal structure and risk allocation. I also manage legal compliance for Express’s franchising activities across the globe, ensuring adherence to applicable disclosure, registration, and relationship laws in each jurisdiction. In addition, I am responsible for Express’s corporate governance program for the parent company and each of its domestic and international affiliates and subsidiaries, supporting boards and management with governance policies, charters, and meeting practices that align with legal and regulatory expectations. I also serve as a member of Express’s international expansion team, partnering with cross-functional leaders to evaluate and execute potential global growth and market entry opportunities.
