Currently, contracting as a lead Data engineer. Previously, I lead the centre of excellence for Databricks at EPAM. Beforehand, I was a Data Architect, working for New Signature, now known as Cognitive Microsoft Business Group. I lead high performing agile data engineering teams, developing solutions in the Azure Data and AI space. I graduated Trinity College Dublin (TCD) with a M.A.I. in Computer and Electronic Engineering, where I achieved the M.A.I. prize for top of my stream. Then went on to work in insurance, as a Data Scientist, before moving into Data Engineering and consulting. I am especially passionate about machine learning and data-mining using big data. In particular, in applying new data science and data engineering techniques, through the use of cloud technologies and Apache Spark. I am a Databricks Champion, with detailed knowledge of applying production solutions with Azure Databricks.
