About Jared Lee
What sets me apart from others? Real-world experience. I\'ve worked in custodial services, building construction, steel manufacturing (press operator and die setter), Marine Corps (SGT/E-5, Ammo Tech-2311, back-to-back tours in Iraq), production management in the food industry, and human resources.My HR background includes experience as coordinator/trainer, manager/generalist, employee relations/conduct management, fact-finding investigations, and recruiting - spanning several industries: food & beverage, banking, state government and medical. About Me:I moved around a lot while I was growing up: Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, and South Carolina. I even spent most of my teen years in Romania when my father’s job took us there. Following high school I attended college in South Carolina. Shortly after September 11, 2001, I enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves. During my 6 years of reserve duty, I somehow managed to serve on active duty for almost 4 years, including back-to-back deployments to Iraq. We moved to Iowa in 2010 when I accepted a position with Hormel Foods in Dubuque. We have lived in Des Moines since 2014, and we have no plans to move again - DSM is our forever home. We love this hidden gem in flyover country!Sarah and I have been happily married for 19 years, and we have two amazing boys, Ethan (17) and Peyton (15). Hockey and upland bird hunting are big parts of our lives. My oldest son, Ethan, plays left wing and my youngest son, Peyton, plays right wing for the Des Moines Thunder. I also play in a couple local beer leagues.When I\'m not in my office, you can find me at an ice rink with my boys, in the upland fields of Iowa with my two German Shorthair Pointers (or honing our skills at Doc\'s Hunt Club), or enjoying a cigar in my sunroom cigar lounge while watching a game,
