   Senior Engineer in the Corrosion Practice (internal move from Materials Application Section) which provided asset management and corrosion technical services on power, water, federal, renewables, oil & gas projects. Our group covers all subject matter topics in regard to material selection, welding procedures, coating specification, cathodic protection design.• Proposed designs to protect buried or submerged metallic objects which included but not limited to piping (external & internal), pipe-type cables, tanks, condensers, pumps, and dam faces.• Performed calculations using Mathcad to calculate anode quantity, system life, and rectifier DC outputs. Mathcad was also used to determine the remaining strength of corroded pipe. • Prepared relevant and constructible cathodic protection typical drawings and bill of materials for the project. • Developed standard specifications using all applicable codes and internal procedures from the above drawings.• Signed and sealed project drawings and specifications when deemed necessary by project manager or client.• Traveled to sites to perform and review data from CP & FFS surveys, troubleshoot cathodic protection systems and eventual commissioning.
