ABOUT JARED BOYCE
I am an MD-PhD Candidate at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health\'s Medical Scientist Training Program. I received my B.A. in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College, where I also minored in the Anthropology of Global Health. I also hold an ScM in Medical Sciences from Brown University. I have previously conducted research at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Karolinska Institutet, Weill Cornell Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and the Zuckerman Institute at Columbia University.I am interested in becoming a child psychiatrist and neuroscientist. I study the underlying epigenetic and neurobiological mechanisms involved in early life stress and comorbidities with diseases. I describe my research interests are best described as the nexus of social determinants of health and molecular neurobiology. Beyond the lab and clinic, I am active in addressing societal issues that affect the health and rights of particular demographics, such as children.
