I spent the last decade teaching corporate systems to do the boring work so humans don\'t have to. Now, I’m the Founder of Caledonic, applying that same engineering rigour to bootstrapping modern SaaS and mobile apps.In my past life, I built a B2B SaaS platform from a blank screen to a £1M+ investment and a Gartner nod. More recently at Glencore, I led a fiercely loyal, globally distributed engineering team (100% retention over 5 years - proving that protecting developers from unnecessary meetings is a universal language) to deliver automations that gave the business back hours of human life every year.But building for the enterprise left me itching to build for everyone. So, I launched Caledonic. I am currently acting as Chief Everything Officer - shipping mobile apps (\"Addle\" & \"Bunny Munch\") in Flutter, and bootstrapping my new full-stack SaaS (\"SkillQuill\") using React, Astro, and Supabase.As an Edinburgh native navigating life with epilepsy, I\'ve been hardwired for resilience, deep focus, and a profound appreciation for building asynchronous, crash-proof systems.Whether it’s coaxing legacy mainframes to play nicely with cutting-edge LLMs, or trying to politely convince Google\'s SEO algorithm that my startup actually exists, I love building things that work beautifully.
